Special Guest Lt. Col. Dave Grossman on Officer Resiliency

Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized author, soldier, and speaker who is one of the world’s foremost experts in the fields of human aggression, the roots of violence and violent crime, as well as the effects they have on people working in dangerous professions. He is the only law enforcement trainer to ever be post-certified in all 50 states.

In his Summit presentation, Grossman will discuss the challenge of maintaining a balance in your life as a law enforcement officer.

Some of the topics that may be covered include how to deal with the extreme exhaustion that accompanies hyper-stressful work. How first responders process the traumas they’ve faced. The problems of insomnia and insufficient sleep caused by prolonged stress and poor scheduling. Plus, the deep impacts these and other issues can have on one’s family life. By openly discussing these topics he ultimately hopes break the stigma of law enforcement officers asking for help when they need it.

* Please Note: Attending the educational classes on the U.S. Constitution is required in order to participate in the Tactical, Medical and Life Skills Training.
